Cinnamon & Peanut Butter Chocolates (with Dates)
These chocolates are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and add a beneficial addition to your holiday season!
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
3/4 cup of chocolate chips, or 1/2 a chocolate bar (I used 70% dark chocolate)
1 Tbsp Natural Peanut butter
1/3 lb of dates (soak in water for 10-15 minutes before using)
Directions:
In a food processor, combine the chocolate, peanut butter, 1 Tbsp of cinnamon and the dates. Blend until well combined. Scrape the dough into a container and pop into the freezer for 1/2 hour. Remove and form into round shaped balls of medium size. The recipes usually makes about 1 dozen. Roll the individual pieces in the rest of the ground cinnamon. Keep in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or put back into the freezer, wrapped in wax paper and foil for up to 3 months.
These are great to give out as gifts during the holidays. Everyone always appreciates a homemade baked dessert and the dates make them an added treat that's also slightly healthy!
